Postdoctoral fellow Dr. Sunayana Dagar's research has uncovered novel pathways of mitochondrial translational defects in Huntington's disease. She employed high-resolution ribosome sequencing tools to quantify aberrant ribosome accumulation on mitochondria-encoded transcripts and utilized advanced mass spectrometry to analyze mitochondrial proteomics, thereby obtaining a snapshot of translational products that unveiled novel mitochondrial targets in HD.
