Congratulations to Undergraduate Researcher Veronika Zaloginova!

I am delighted to share that Florida Atlantic University undergraduate student Veronika Zaloginova has been selected to present her research on ribosome stalling in Huntington disease at the 2026 Yale Undergraduate Research Conference (YURC) — https://www.yura.yale.edu/yurc.

Veronika conducts her research in my lab at the FAU Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute, where she investigates how ribosome stalling contributes to altered protein synthesis and neuronal dysfunction in HD. Her project reflects strong initiative, technical skill, and curiosity in exploring the molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration.

This selection is a well-deserved recognition of Veronika’s dedication and growing excellence in neuroscience research.
